Purpose

This programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills necessary for effective project management and economic evaluation in nuclear power facilities. Students will learn to formulate, discuss, and apply project scheduling techniques such as PERT and CPM, conduct feasibility assessments including NPV calculations, and evaluate economic factors relevant to construction and operation. The program also covers industrial economics, legal frameworks, power distribution, and compliance with international nuclear regulations. Additionally, students will develop skills to formulate and manage accident scenarios, integrating technical, regulatory, and managerial considerations for safe and efficient nuclear facility operations.

Admission Requirements

Applicants require at least a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or Bachelor of Science (BSc). A Science, Engineering, or technical degree at NQF Level 7, including one year of Physics and two years of Mathematics.

Selection Process

Selection is based on academic merit.
