Purpose
The purpose of this programme is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of economic modelling and financial management for nuclear power within integrated energy grids. Students will learn to analyze plant-specific costs, grid impacts, market models, and construction programs to evaluate the overall economic viability of nuclear projects. The programme emphasizes risk management, socio-economic assessment, and effective financial planning. Critical cross-field skills 鈥 including problem-solving, teamwork, self-organization, responsible decision-making, and entrepreneurial thinking 鈥 are integrated to ensure that students can develop sustainable, socially responsible, and economically sound nuclear power strategies.
Admission Requirements
Applicants require at least a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or Bachelor of Science (BSc). A Science, Engineering, or technical degree at NQF Level 7, including one year of Physics and two years of Mathematics.
