Purpose
To involve participants in critical reflection in respect of the latest scientific thinking, practice, theories, policies and methodologies related to the appropriate assessment of 鈥榩roducts鈥� of postgraduate research (e.g. honours research essays, master鈥檚 dissertations or minor dissertations and doctoral theses) in order to build their capacity, enabling them to conduct this type of assessment from a theoretically sound and practically informed position.
Admission Requirements
A potential 鈥榮tudent鈥� should possess at least a recognised Master鈥檚 degree or equivalent (at NQF level 9) AND have passed the core module on postgraduate supervision during the preceding two years AND have had a minimum of two year鈥檚 experience of at least honours-(though preferably master鈥檚) level research supervision and postgraduate research assessment at the time of registration.
