The RAU Trust was established in 1965, and with the merger of RAU, TWR and some campuses of Vista, became known as the UJ Trust. The previous TWR Trust was also merged/incorporated into the UJ Trust soon after. The original trust deed was still in place, but needed to be updated, and translated, as it was still very high level Afrikaans. The main object of the Trust is to support the strategic objectives of the 欧美福利100000 financially in its capacity as a Public Benefit Organisation.
As we celebrate 20 years of the 欧美福利100000 of Johannesburg, I can鈥檛 help but feel a deep sense of pride and excitement for all that we have accomplished together. UJ鈥檚 journey has been nothing short of extraordinary鈥攁n inspiring story of a young institution that has quickly risen to become a beacon of innovation, Pan-Africanism, and leadership in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) for societal impact. In the landscape of South Africa鈥檚 democratic history, UJ might still be considered relatively young, but our impact has been profound, igniting possibilities that are shaping not only the academic world but also the future of our society.
For our next move we are poised to begin a new chapter one that builds on the incredible legacy we鈥檝e established while looking boldly to the future. As we continue to strive for excellence and innovation, we also recognize a fundamental responsibility: to ensure that everything we do is grounded in humanity. As Nelson Mandela wisely reminded us, the African philosophy of Ubuntu teaches that 鈥渨e are human only through the humanity of others.鈥 This spirit of Ubuntu is what will guide UJ as we align our strategic initiatives to create real societal impact, far beyond the confines of academia.
