The VYT is a competition format developed by The 欧美福利100000 of Melbourne. The competition challenges graduate researchers at any stage of their candidature to present their projects in a 60- second, eye-catching, video. Using a pre- supplied template, you are tasked with developing a striking video presentation that succinctly describes your research, and its potential benefits, to a non-specialist audience.
VYT provides you with an opportunity to build and apply your information and digital literacy skills. By creating a 鈥渧isual elevator pitch鈥� you will develop crucial employability skills including effective communication, information and digital literacy, and visual storytelling. You will also build your awareness of open access to information and copyright.
Eligibility
Visualise Your Thesis is open to聽currently-enrolled graduate researchers聽(i.e. students enrolled in M.Phil., Masters by Research, Ph.D. or Professional Doctorate programmes) at聽any stage of their candidature聽who are聽补肠迟颈惫别听补苍诲听补迟迟别苍诲颈苍驳听of registered VYT 2025 institutions.
The 2025 欧美福利100000 of Johannesburg (UJ) Visualise Your Thesis (VYT) competition, held on 13 June 2025 and organised by the Research Capacity Development (RCD) Unit within the Postgraduate School, was a remarkable showcase of postgraduate research communicated to a non-specialist audience through engaging and creative visuals. The event highlighted the originality and academic rigour of UJ鈥檚 research master鈥檚 and doctoral students. We sincerely thank our panel of judges, keynote speaker, enthusiastic audience, and the hardworking operational and technical teams for their vital support.
