2025 URC Scholarship applications for M补蝉迟别谤鈥檚 and Doctoral studies.

Applications for the 2025 URC Scholarship are now open. The closing date for submission is 16 November 2025.

All submitted applications will be screened, and candidates who meet the requirements will be shortlisted.

2026 Global Excellence and Stature (GES) 4.0 for Societal Impact (SI) funding for M补蝉迟别谤鈥檚 and Doctoral studies.

Applications for the 2026 GES 4.0 for Societal Impact (SI) funding for M补蝉迟别谤鈥檚 and Doctoral studies are now open. The deadline for submission is 30 November 2025.

All submitted applications will be screened, and eligible candidates will be shortlisted. Faculties will receive access to the shortlisted applications, along with detailed instructions for the ranking process.

RECODE 2025 Symposium on Projects Day Announcement馃摚

The Academy will be hosting our first RECODE 2025 Symposium for Master’s and Doctoral students, which will take place alongside our 39th Annual Projects Day on 15 October 2025.
The purpose of RECODE 2025 is to bring together Master’s and Doctoral students to present their research in the form of posters, share insights and receive constructive feedback from senior academics who will be serving as judges. More details on the symposium can be found on the attached flyer (I attached both PDF and PNG for convenience) as well as the official RECODE 2025 website: .
Master’s and Doctoral students (at any stage of their studies) are invited to submit extended abstracts via EasyChair: .
Accepted abstracts will be published in the RECODE 2025 book of abstracts, which will become available on the RECODE 2025 website following the event. Formatting guidelines can be found on the symposium website: .
Those whose abstracts are accepted will be formally invited to submit posters, which they will present at the symposium on 15 October 2025. 馃挮
Participants will have the opportunity to receive a Best Extended Abstract or Best Presentation award.

The 2026 SASOL-CSIR Bursary Call is now open!

This bursary scheme is aimed at South African citizens who plan to enroll full-time at a South African university in 2026. Applicants must have successfully passed all registered courses from their most recent period of study at a university.
The CSIR, in partnership with the SASOL Foundation, provides financial support to full-time, unemployed students pursuing qualifications in fields considered priority areas by the CSIR.

听The call of new applications听for NRF Postgraduate Student Funding for the 2026听academic year has been opened for submission.

听The NRF minimum academic requirement听for postgraduate funding is 65%. The entry age requirement is 28, 30 and 32 years or younger for Honours, M补蝉迟别谤鈥檚 and Doctoral studies respectively, in the year of application, regardless of first year of registration. 听 The scholarships听are听intended听to听support听M补蝉迟别谤鈥檚听and Doctoral candidates听to听pursue听studies听in all areas of Science, Engineering, Technology, Social Sciences, and Humanities.

All the postgraduate students will be expected to apply on the NRF Connect System by accessing the link: . No manual applications will be accepted.
