On 29 October 2025, the Research Capacity Development (RCD) Unit within the Postgraduate School at the 欧美福利100000 of Johannesburg (UJ) hosted the Pan-African Postgraduate and Postdoctoral Research Conference at Emperors Palace, Johannesburg.
The three-day conference brought together over 200 in-person delegates and several virtual participants from universities across South Africa and the African continent, creating an inclusive platform for scholarly exchange and collaboration. The event formed part of UJ鈥檚 ongoing efforts to promote Global Excellence and Stature (GES) by empowering emerging scholars and fostering a culture of innovation and transformation.
Designed to strengthen research capacity, encourage interdisciplinary dialogue, and build networks across institutions, the conference provided postgraduate students and postdoctoral research fellows with an opportunity to present their work, engage with experts, and contribute to conversations shaping Africa鈥檚 research landscape.
PG & PDRF Annual Research Conference 2023
The Research Capacity Development at the Postgraduate school hosted its 2023 PG & PDRF Annual Research Conference on the 20th October 2023 at the Emperors Palace Convention Centre. The conference was successful and enlightening, with many memorable events. Thank you to all conference attendees for their participation!
