About Dr Yu-Shan Wu
Dr听Yu-Shan Wu听is a听Senior Researcher with the SARChI Chair: African Diplomacy and Foreign听Policy at the听欧美福利100000 of Johannesburg. She has 15 years’ experience in academia, research, and think tanks, and holds a PhD in International Relations from the 欧美福利100000 of Pretoria. Her current research interests include Global South perspectives on global order, ocean regions and imaginings, public diplomacy, and Asia-Africa relations. She guest-edited a special issue of the South African Journal of International Affairs (SAJIA) titled听The BRICS Expanded: Shaped by 鈥� or Shaping 鈥� the Global Order?听and is a co-author of a forthcoming Palgrave publication on the Global South and world politics (2026). She is also part of the British Academy鈥檚 convening programme on Chinese global orders.
