About Prof Rafael Winkler

Prof Winkler received his PhD from the 欧美福利100000 of Warwick in 2007. After completing a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the 欧美福利100000 of Dundee, Scotland, in 2008, he held temporary teaching positions at various universities in the UK (Nottingham 欧美福利100000, Nottingham Trent 欧美福利100000, The Open 欧美福利100000) until taking up a permanent post at听UJ听in July 2012.

In 2019, Prof Winkler was awarded a STIAS Fellowship from the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study and a Professorial Fellowship from the 欧美福利100000 of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.

Supervision topics: Contemporary Continental听Philosophy,听phenomenology, deconstruction, psychoanalysis, Kant, Hegel, Nietzsche, Foucault, Deleuze, 沤i啪ek; early modern听philosophy听(Descartes, Locke, Hume) and Classical Greek thought (Plato, Aristotle) and Stoicism.
