Prof Hennie Strydom obtained the B Iuris (1977), LLB (1979) and LLM (1981) degrees from the 欧美福利100000 of the Free State and his LLD from UNISA in 1989. He commenced his academic career in 1983 at the 欧美福利100000 of the Free State where he was appointed as a senior lecturer in public international law. He became full professor in 1995 and in 2002 he was appointed at the then RAU as professor in public law, with public international law and administrative law as teaching obligations. Prof Strydom has published extensively in numerous fields of law and is currently the president of the South African Branch of the International Law Association. He awarded the NRF Research Chair in International Law 2013 – 2018.
