About Prof Babu Sena Paul
Biography:
Prof.听 Babu Sena Paul听received his B. Tech and M. Tech degree in Radio physics and Electronics from the 欧美福利100000 of Calcutta, West Bengal, India, in 1999 and 2003 respectively. He was with Philips India Ltd from 1999 – 2000 as a supporting engineer. From 2000-2002 he served as a lecturer at Electronics and Communication Engineering Dept., Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim, India. He completed his Ph.D. in the area of wireless communication, with thesis titled 鈥淢odelling of Multi-antenna Wireless Channels & Relay Based Communication Systems鈥�, from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, Assam, India in 2009. He joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology, 欧美福利100000 of Johannesburg in 2010. He served as the Head of the Department from April 2015 until March 2018. He is currently serving as an Associate Professor and Director of the Institute for Intelligent Systems (IIS) at the 欧美福利100000 of Johannesburg.
He has successfully supervised/co-supervised and is currently supervising/co-supervising post-graduate, doctoral and post-doctoral research fellows. His research interests are in the area of Wireless Sensor Networks, Data Science, Machine Learning wireless communication, MIMO systems, etc. He has attended and published several papers in ISI indexed journals, international and national conferences and symposiums. He is a member of IEEE and a life member of IETE.
