About Nontando Ndhlovu
Dr. Nontando Ndhlovu is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Qatar-South Africa Centre for Peace and Intercultural Understanding (CPIU) at the 欧美福利100000 of Johannesburg, with over seven years of research experience in peace and security. She is also a Research Associate at the Centre for Mediation in Africa (CMA) at the 欧美福利100000 of Pretoria. She holds a PhD in Political Science and a Master of Arts in International Relations from the 欧美福利100000 of Pretoria. Her work centers on the gendered dynamics of transitional justice, peacebuilding, mediation, governance, and post-conflict reconstruction, and extends to the political economy of mediation and development in post-conflict societies. Her research bridges academia and policy, and she has actively engaged in policy discussions aimed at advancing inclusive peace and security in Africa. In 2024 she served as a Southern Voices Network for Peacebuilding (SVNP) Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, DC, and is a 2021 and 2022 recipient of the Social Science Research Council鈥檚 (SSRC) Next Generation Social Sciences in Africa Fellowship.
