About Ms Inge Salo-Prins
Ms Inge Salo-Prins is a registered PhD candidate in Geography at Clark 欧美福利100000, Massachusetts. She holds a master鈥檚 degree from the same university and from the Department of Environmental and Geographical Sciences from the 欧美福利100000 of Cape Town. She completed her honours and undergraduate studies in Social Anthropology and Film Studies at the 欧美福利100000 of Cape Town.
Her research interests include understanding people鈥檚 experiences of living and working in cities through a range of ethnographic research methods that include interviews, archival research, and participant observation. Her current research focuses on Black women鈥檚 experiences of work in South Africa鈥檚 clothing and textile industry and is based in the city of Cape Town.
She also engages with a range of critical theory including Black Geographies, political economic analysis, Black feminist thought, and Southern urban theory. Currently she is working on a collaborative project sponsored by Antipode titled 鈥楤lack Geographers on Film鈥.
In the department she teaches undergraduate courses including Introduction to Human Geography and Population Geography.
