Biography听
Shastri was born and still lives in Lenasia, 30 km south-west of Johannesburg, in Gauteng. He has worked professionally for ~25 years in the private sector, for the Government of South Africa, in various ventures, on his own and now has settled in academia and engineering research and development. His professional interests include computer programming, modelling and simulation, telecommunication systems, radio frequency systems, wireless networks design, spectrum sensing, interference management, spectrum management, cognitive radio and dynamic spectrum access networks.
He is usually quite busy, has lots of hobbies, reads a lot all over, and he loves nature, trees and birds, enjoys music and studies the Upanishads. Recently, for some unbeknown reason, he has taken to poetry, has produced a volume of poems in response and is thus also an aspiring poet.
