About Mr Azwimbavhi Mamanyuha
Biography
Short Biography Azwimbavhi (Azwi) Mamanyuha is seasoned engineer with about 28 years practising as an engineer to date, although now at strategic level. Academically, Azwi has B Sc (Applied Mathematics, Physics & Applied Physics), (Natal Univ); B Sc Engineering (Elec) (UCT), Master Business Leadership (MBL) (UNISA), Master Project Management (Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne 欧美福利100000-France). Azwi is registered professional engineer with ECSA and professional project manager with SACPCMP.
Azwi has experience in heavy current engineering from Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Corporate at Eskom. He has worked as engineering manager for several years which culminated in him being a general manager in several departments in Eskom as follows: – KZN operating unit, North-West Operating unit, Distribution Operations Enablement, Technology Engineering general manager.
He is currently a general manager of a newly formed department in Eskom called Generation New Business Engineering Innovation and Localisation. This department looks at new technologies for producing electricity and energy like battery energy systems, photo voltaic (PV) manufacturing, green hydrogen and ammonia production as well as beneficiation of local minerals to enhance industrialisation in South Africa and SADEC. He is also currently looking at application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and programming on Control and Instrumentation to optimise the use of machine learning digitalization and cyber security and enhance the current thermal power stations fleet.
