About Ms. Atiyyah Motala

Ms. Atiyyah Motala is a Bachelor of Education graduate in Senior and FET teaching from the 欧美福利100000 of Johannesburg. In addition, she holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in English Literature and a Master鈥檚 in Education degree in Education and Curriculum Studies (Educational Linguistics), which is also from the 欧美福利100000 of Johannesburg. Her final Honours dissertation examined themes of psychoanalysis and feminine resistance in 19th century Victorian literature and was titled 鈥楪ender and Resistance in John Fowles鈥檚 The French Lieutenant鈥檚 Woman鈥 (2019). Her Master鈥檚 (full) dissertation centred on social justice education and pertained to student participation and agency in tertiary language learning 鈥 鈥楽ocial justice through student participation: Fostering agency in English tutorials at a university鈥 (2021). She is currently a lecturer and PhD candidate in the Department of English.
