Second World Summit for Social Development in Doha, Qatar, 4- 6 November 2025

The ICSD is actively engaging in the Second World Summit for Social Development (WSSD2), taking place in Doha, Qatar, November 2025. As one of four global social development organizations with consultative status at ECOSOC, ICSD is working in close partnership with the International Council on Social Welfare (ICSW), the International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW), and the International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW). Together, we are presenting a complementary set of proposals that highlight social integration, workforce development, and policy innovation.

The government of South Africa, in partnership with the ICSD, has submitted two applications for a side event on solutions at the SWSSD. The applications are under review. If successful, two side events under the call for evidence-based actionable solutions will be hosted by South Africa in collaboration with its partners.
