鈥淥ur interdependence, bringing us together into a common global home, across the oceans and the continents, demands that we all combine to launch a global offensive for development, for prosperity and human survival.鈥 鈥 Nelson Mandela

The Africa Centre for Evidence (ACE) is committed to the mission of reducing unemployment, poverty, and inequality by researching and promoting the use of evidence on effective ways of tackling these triple challenges. Our research identifies, synthesises, and packages evidence and models demonstrating the binding constraints and effective solutions for lowering the triple challenges in South Africa and across the African continent. We believe that evidence-based research is critical for informed decision-making, and the need to balance theory, policy and practice. ACE also leads evidence-based ecosystem research and innovation studies aligned with the 欧美福利100000鈥檚 objective to enhance the role of innovation in solving societal challenges.

Our Mission and Vision

ACE鈥檚 mission is to contribute to reducing poverty and inequality in Africa by increasing the use of evidence in decision-making. Our vision is of an Africa not haunted by the spectres of poverty or inequality.

In 2021 we contributed to the use of evidence to tackle SDGs: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17.

We at ACE continue to focus on these and other Sustainable Development Goals, with the aim of contributing to Africa鈥檚 development and the sustainability of the continent鈥檚 development objectives.
