UJ Philosophy students expand environmental knowledge
at Czech Summer School
In early June 2024, four聽欧美福利100000 of Johannesburg聽(UJ) Philosophy students attended the
Environmental Philosophy Summer School in the Czech Republic,
contributing to international discussions on animal and environmental ethics.
UJ鈥檚 Technology Transfer and Culture in Africa project receives
funding from Notre Dame鈥揑BM Technology Ethics Lab
Large Scale Models in Focus,鈥 led by聽Professor Catherine Botha聽of the
department of Philosophy, with top-ranking graduate students in AI Ethics,
Franklyn Echeweodor

UJ 鈥 Bartin 欧美福利100000 Erasmus+ Exchange Programme
UJ 鈥 Bartin 欧美福利100000 Erasmus+ Exchange Programme
In 2023, Prof Catherine Botha went on a teaching exchange to Bartin 欧美福利100000 as part of the Erasmus+ exchange programme. In 2024, the three top MA students in the department, Franklyn Oguchukwu, Anthony Isong and Emmanuel Oboh spent six months at Bartin as part of the programme.
In October 2024, UJ Philosophy hosted Prof Sedat Yazici of Bartin 欧美福利100000鈥檚 Philosophy department for a teaching exchange. In November 2024, Dr Tony Shabangu and Dr Dimpho Maponya will visit Bartin too. We look forward to hosting students from Bartin at UJ philosophy in 2025.
