Elizabeth Modjadji, an MSc Geography candidate at the 欧美福利100000 of Johannesburg, is breaking new ground through her research on the Application of Remote Sensing for Monitoring Water Quality Using Machine Learning Algorithms.

Her study tackles one of South Africa鈥檚 biggest environmental challenges 鈥 water quality degradation. By using advanced machine learning and satellite data, Elizabeth demonstrates how multi-output algorithms can deliver more accurate, scalable, and cost-effective solutions for monitoring water quality. With her model achieving R虏 values as high as 0.95, her work holds the potential to transform how we manage and protect our most precious resource.
