While students are exposed to substantive and traditional bodies of knowledge associated with leadership and management, sometimes in a traditional lecture format, we adopt a broadly social constructivist, critical and reflective approach in our facilitation of learning. Course offerings and areas of expertise
The Department of Education Leadership and Management, DELM, is one of the few remaining education leadership and management departments to be found at a South African university. DELM offers courses at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. The strength of the Department lies at the honours and master鈥檚 levels.
DELM also offers a Postgraduate Diploma in Education Leadership and Management and PhD supervision.
We currently have about 150 honours, 40 master鈥檚 and 30 PhD students. Master鈥檚 applicants can apply for the degree either by coursework and mini-dissertation or by full-dissertation. The honours and master鈥檚 courses will be offered on-line shortly.
