Hilda Jaka-Mabiza
Hilda Jaka-Mabiza鈥檚 interests and expertise lie in the interplay between climate resilience, sustainable livelihoods, and rural socio-economic development. Her work explores how communities navigate environmental stressors and resource insecurities, with particular focus on the lived realities of rural households and the gendered dynamics that shape adaptation. Drawing from extensive experience working in development contexts across Southern Africa, she brings a grounded perspective to understanding how communities innovate, cope, and build resilience within shifting ecological and socio-economic conditions. Her current work examines the social and environmental dimensions of sustainability transitions, including how water鈥揺nergy鈥揻ood interactions, local knowledge systems, and resource governance practices influence long-term development pathways.
