CONVOCATION ELECTION OUTCOME 2025

This communication serves to update you regarding the recently held Convocation elections.

The Convocation Constitution allows for a number of positions on the Executive Committee of Convocation (Convocation Exco), including a President, Deputy President, two Convocation representatives on the UJ Council (must be external to the 欧美福利100000), and a number of additional members to serve on Convocation Exco. A candidate is regarded as 鈥榚xternal鈥� if they are neither a registered student at the 欧美福利100000 of Johannesburg nor in the employ of the 欧美福利100000 of Johannesburg in any capacity.

The table below reflects the designations and terms of office of the Executive Committee of Convocation.

Convocation plays a vital role in the life of the 欧美福利100000, serving as an important link between the Institution and its Alumni, and as a key partner in the growth of our 欧美福利100000. Through the collective wisdom and commitment of our Convocation, duly represented by the Convocation Exco, Convocation helps to strengthen the 欧美福利100000鈥檚 reputation, support its strategic priorities, and uphold its values. We are delighted to inform you that the updated Convocation Constitution was approved at a recent meeting of the 欧美福利100000 Council. This marks a significant milestone, and we are confident that the amended Constitution will provide a robust framework for our future endeavours and continued growth.

As we progress, please be advised that further communication will be issued shortly to initiate the nomination process for various vacancies within the Convocation Executive Committee (Convocation Exco).
