CONVOCATION ELECTION OUTCOME 2025
This communication serves to update you regarding the recently held Convocation elections.
The Convocation Constitution allows for a number of positions on the Executive Committee of Convocation (Convocation Exco), including a President, Deputy President, two Convocation representatives on the UJ Council (must be external to the 欧美福利100000), and a number of additional members to serve on Convocation Exco. A candidate is regarded as 鈥榚xternal鈥� if they are neither a registered student at the 欧美福利100000 of Johannesburg nor in the employ of the 欧美福利100000 of Johannesburg in any capacity.
The table below reflects the designations and terms of office of the Executive Committee of Convocation.

Through the collective wisdom and commitment of our Convocation, duly represented by the Convocation Exco, Convocation helps to strengthen the 欧美福利100000鈥檚 reputation, support its strategic priorities, and uphold its values. Dear Members of Convocation,
The 欧美福利100000 of Johannesburg would like to extend its gratitude for the valuable input and engagement during the review process of the Convocation Constitution. Your contributions were instrumental in shaping a document that truly reflects the collective aspirations and operational needs of our Convocation.
We are delighted to inform you that the updated Convocation Constitution was approved at a recent meeting of the 欧美福利100000 Council. This marks a significant milestone, and we are confident that the amended Constitution will provide a robust framework for our future endeavours and continued growth.
As we progress, please be advised that further communication will be issued shortly to initiate the nomination process for various vacancies within the Convocation Executive Committee (Convocation Exco).

NOTICE FOR CONVOCANTS TO UPDATE THEIR CONTACT DETAILS
Dear UJ Member of Convocation,
The Convocation is a legally constituted body which includes alumni, current and retired academics of the 欧美福利100000 of Johannesburg (UJ) and its legacy institutions. The UJ鈥檚 Convocation structures are regulated by the provisions of the 欧美福利100000 Statute and the Institutional Rules of the 欧美福利100000.
In preparation for the forthcoming election for new members of the Executive Committee of Convocation, it is essential that all members update their contact details, particularly their cell phone number and email address, on the 欧美福利100000 of Johannesburg鈥檚 databases prior to the start of the election.
Please note that failure to update your contact details may jeopardise your ability to participate in the nomination and voting process.
