BURSARY / SPONSORED STUDENTS

• A bank statement (not older than 3 months) or bank聽confirmation letter indicating where the refund must be paid.
• For third-party payments:
  • ID copy of the individual receiving the refund.
  • A refund confirmation letter if the sponsor allows payment to the student.
• Approval letter from the bursary/sponsor:
  • If there are multiple sponsors, each must confirm awareness of additional funding and approve the refund.
• Proof of payment (only if fees were paid through both cash and sponsor funding):
  • If a sponsor contributed, they must consent to the refund.
• For internal funding (e.g. merit, faculty, or supervisor-linked bursaries):
  • Confirm with the funder whether the refund should be paid into a personal bank account or loaded onto a Fundi card.
• If a student received any of the following bursaries and also made cash payments, the bursary must first be reversed, and no refund will be allowed:
  • Sports bursary
  • Advanced Diploma
  • International / Exchange
  • Discretionary
  • Underprivileged
  • Choir bursaries
  • SRC Inclusivity Fund
• Refunds involving Fundi loans must include a Fundi settlement letter.
• If a sponsored student made personal payments, a letter from the funder approving the refund is required.
